Ethiopia Earns over $1.2bn from Coffee, Oilseed Export

Ethiopia has earned over 1.2 billion USD from the export of coffee and oil seeds in the concluded Ethiopian fiscal year, which ended July 7, 2019.

State Minister of Trade and Industry, Ambassador Misganu Arega told to journalists in a press conference that the stated sum of revenue was generated from the export of coffee, white kidney beans, green mung, sesame and soya beans.

Ethiopia mainly export gold, coffee, textile and apparel, leather and leather products, cut flowers, vegetables and fruit, live animals, oil seeds, cereals and other agricultural products, it was learned.

Ambassador Misganu said that the Ministry will take action against illegal exporters, including license revocation measures.
