The government of Ethiopia plans to construct four additional industrial parks in a bid to enhance investment and accelerate industrialization in the country.

Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) reviewing last year’s performance of the industrial parks in the country with stakeholders today.

The government of Ethiopia secured $110 million earnings from products manufactured in industrial parks in the concluded Ethiopian budget year, according to IPDC.

The performance exceeded that of same period last fiscal year by 35 percent, it was indicated.

The industrial parks also created employment opportunities for more than 50,000 citizens.

The Eastern Africa nation inaugurated three industrial parks and become operational in the last Ethiopian budget year, which ended July 7.
